The SPC PRO frost protection heating cable is a plug-in heating circuit based on a self-regulating heating cable. The heating cable compensates for the heat loss at the pipe that occurs in the cold season.
thus reliably preventing the pipeline from freezing and protecting it from damage. This extends the service life of the pipeline and reduces repair and operating costs. Via the bimetal thermostat installed in the connection sleeve, the heating circuit switches on automatically at +3 °C and off again at +12 °C depending on the workpiece temperature.
The SPC PRO heating circuit consists of a self-regulating heating cable with a polyolefin outer sheath and is equipped with a PTC thermistor (2m length) with plug, a connection sleeve with integrated bimetallic thermostat
and an end termination. The factory-made, cast connection sleeve and the end termination are reliably and tightly sealed.
Due to the self-regulating technology, the heating power adjusts automatically depending on the ambient temperature at the object to be heated. This means that the heating cable can also be installed on a pipe,
which is exposed to different temperatures along its length. Due to its self-regulating property, the heating cable cannot overheat, even if it is laid overlapping.
